Pang et al(Pang et al. 2019) from Jinan University analyzed the effect of eight acupuncture methods including traditional acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moxibustion acupuncture, medicine only without acupuncture, traditional acupuncture with supplementary medicine, electroacupuncture with supplementary medicine, moxibustion acupuncture with supplementary medicine, and an electroacupuncture and moxibustion acupuncture combination in the treatment for tinnitus. The study enrolled a total of 40 studies and 3657 patients. After bayesian analysis, they found out that the eight interventions were all effective in the treatment of neurological tinnitus, but moxibustion acupuncture seems to be a better trend treatment for tinnitus.
